Tito: The heart of Yugoslavia and my hero.

the greatest Yugoslav that ever lived, Tito

Tito of the late 70s
Id like to begin this post by saying that in my life there are two men that i truly respect and admire with the utmost conviction. One is my late farther who meant the world to me. He was a wise man, an intelligent man, a confident man and most importantly a honest man who always said it how it was. The other a man, a non reletive who died 6 years befoure i was born who also possesed such respectable traits as my farther did. That man is the former Prime Minister (1945-53) and President (1953-80) of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. Marshal Josip Broz Tito. I have the utmost love and respect for the late Josip Broz Tito and his immense lifetime achievements. He is my hero, as he's seen by Yugoslavs all over the world to this day. He was a croatian commoner, a locksmith, a soldier, a general, a prime minister, a President, the farther of Yugoslavia, the man that defied Stalin, the man who was a key figure between the east and the west during the cold war, a man who dedicated his life to the Yugoslav people and the ongoing prosperity of Yugoslavia, but most of all he was a man who succesfully defied nationalists, fascists, stalinists and separtists. A man that proved himself to be the greatest Yugoslav that ever lived. A Yugoslav hero, and a man loved all over the world.
Im very proud to say that my mothers eldest uncle was a very good friend with Tito, as he was politician in the communist party, and still is this day. Tito used to visit my family, go on holidays, cruises and hunting trips with my grandmothers eldest brother many times. His limousine and enterage would arrive outside my great uncles home as he would visit, and then dine with my family. My mother gained membership of the communist party as a girl and participated many times during Tito's 'Dan Mladosti' youth day. So naturaly i grew up with a huge sense of pride knowing my family had some sort of personal tie with Tito. I also grew up being proud to be a Yugoslav, not just as a Serb, but a Yugoslav.
He dedicated his life to the Yugoslav people. He ensured Yugoslav unity and progressed a backward peasant nation into one of the most modern, prosperous and militarily powerful nations of all time. He defied Stalin and ensured Yugoslav independence. He goverened with a unique form of communism. To cut a long story short ill finish on a personal interpretation into english, an excert from one of his famous speeches. It encapsulates what his policy was about.
'We had bled a sea of blood for brotherhood and unity of our people, and wont allow anyone to meddle, uproot or destroy this brotherly unity from within'
Tito(early 60s)
Within a decade of Tito's death Yugoslavia broke up and its republics turned against each other. Damn the nationalists that destroyed Tito's legacy. Damn you fucking dogs, no matter if your Serb, Bosnian or croatian! Look at you fuckers today, sucking EU's Dick!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let the memory of this man, the greatest Yugoslav that ever lived, live on in the hearts of the millions of people who love this great Slavic leader. Long live Tito! Death to the Nationalist scum of the earth!!!Tito your my hero!
( i had alot more written up, but this fucked up site glitched and i lost like 2 fucking hrs of work)

Collateral Damage: 1999 Thousands dead. A nation in ruin

A train, targeted and destroyed, its passengers killed in what has got to be the most barbaric of ways imaginable. This is just one incident of a thousand more. It was callous and evil act of aggression during the NATO bombing of former Yugoslavia, 1999. Although it's not called terrorism, eventhough it's pure and abseloute terrorism. The American military calls this despicable crime Collateral damage.
It was March 24th, 1999. I was on the other side of the world, far away and safe, but my life was to change forever. I was an innocent 12 year old at the time, the world seemed so beautiful and normal, but that all changed, almost instantly. My entire view of the world was to change forever. It was all over the television and radio. It was on the front page of the paper. It was the fateful news that the NATO alliance had begun its bombing campaign against Yugoslavia, my native motherland and the home of so much family.
It was an unprovoked attack on Yugoslavia, justified by what were later found to be clearly falsified claims that yugoslavia was taking genocidal actions upon the albanian population of Kosovo. Ludicrous claims came to be and all to justify the bombing of Yugoslavia. Lies from media giants such as The Times, claimed figures of some half a million albanian deaths and displacements. Figures were invented, stories were fabricated, reality was distorted and human emotions were drawn upon as the conflict was constantly compared to the holocaust of WW2.
It was a conflict which calumniated in 1998 as the KLA (Kosovo 'Albanian' Liberation Army) tried to seize control of Kosovo. One fact that you must keep in mind is that since 1996 the KLA were known by the world as a terrorist organisation, their sole existence was to bomb Serbian property, kill Serbian people and rape Serbian women. Hatred was their ideology and a separated and Albanian led independent Kosovo was their goal. This was to be achieved regardless of their terrorist actions. It was a decade long onslaught of terrorism and murder, waiting to evolve into war. The KLA's ongoing and constant terror campaign which initially forced Milosevic to dissolve Kosovo's autonomy in the late 80s, finally calumniated in full scale war between the Yugoslav army and KLA. Unjustifyingly at that very time in 1998, the US de-listed the KLA as a terrorist organisation and so did a few other nations most notably the UK and France. In the western worlds eyes the KLA were no longer the terrorists as they were seen before. The Yugoslav military became the 'terrorist organisation'. The terrorists became the 'liberators', and the protectors of the nation from the attacker, became the terrorists! Thus the fundamental platform on which lies and falsifications could be fabricated upon was created.
In 1998 the Yugoslav forces had to launch a full scale war in eliminating the spreading plague, the KLA was. The KLA had to get eliminated once and for all. In the protection of all people the terrorist KLA had to get destroyed, and in the effort of doing so, the NATO alliance prompted by the US began its unprovoked bombing of Yugoslavia. It was hoped to be a short two day bombing in which the Serbian military would be crippled into surrender. The illegal bombing of Yugoslavia lasted exactly 11 weeks from March 34th to June 10. It was 11 weeks of lawless, barbaric, unprovoked, disproportionate and unjustified military action against the people of Yugoslavia.
It was a strongly protested war, and a horrific crime to humanity by the western world. It was an act of terrorism that makes the 9/11 attack seem like child's play in comparison. It was a bombing campaign designed to shock the nation into surrender, to bomb non military targets in hope to achieve surrender. It was the utmost pinnacle of cowardice and malice, to systematically bomb innocent civilians all over Yugoslavia in aim to kill as many innocent civilians as possible and destroy the peoples lifelines such as power, water, sanitation, fuel, agricultural, industrial and transport systems by which the peoples very existence depended on. The 77 days of NATO aggression encompassed some 35 000 assault missions by a force of some 1000 warplanes, 206 helicopters and a large fleet of warships. More than 10.000 cruise missiles were launched and over 79.000 tons of explosives were dropped. This includes 35.450 cluster bombs, thermo visual and graphite bombs which are prohibited under international conventions. Depleted uranium bombs were dropped to poison the ground and water ways, spreading radiation and causing death all over the country. Undetonated cluster bombs scattered everywhere for the unfortunate soul to step upon.
Some 600.000 people became unemployed and some 2.5 million people were left with insufficient means to survive. This was a nation which also had to support 750.000 Serbian refugees from the previous Yugoslav wars and an exodus of some 200.000 Serbs from Kosovo who were getting systematically killed or exiled by the KLA. The humanitarian disaster and the chaos that the NATO bombing had caused were on a scale not seen in Europe since WW2.
Non military targets were the recipients of most of the bombing. Whilst the Yugoslav military marched on and fought the terrorist KLA, the Yugoslav people were getting cowardly bombed by NATO. Several thousand civilians lost their lives, whilst over 6000 sustained serious injuries and were left crippled for life. Children made up 40% of the casualties as well as 40% of the number injured, whilst some 10% of all Yugoslav children (some 300.000) were left to suffer severe psychological trauma. People were bombed in their homes, during the night hours mostly, from 20.000ft indiscriminately. They were innocent, defenseless civilians and they were being punished for being Serbs.
Some 70 bridges got destroyed or heavily damaged, 30 railway lines and stations, 14 airports, most highways and thoroughfares, some 120 factories and industrial installations, two out of three refineries and some 20 chemical storage installations, a huge amount of fertile land and waterway got contaminated or burnt, some 30 hospitals and health care institutions got attacked, over 300 schools got damaged or destroyed, hundreds of public and housing facilities got damaged or destroyed, huge damage to the power stations and power supply transmitters including a hydro electric power station, 43 telecommunication transmitters got damaged or destroyed, 59 medieval monasteries and sacred shrines got damaged or destroyed, many cultural-historical monuments and museums got destroyed, some 20 diplomatic and consular buildings were damaged or destroyed, the presidents residence and thousands and thousands of homes. The grand total of all commercial, industrial and civil have incurred damages in excess of 100 billion US dollars. Its ironic that two years later the main NATO aggressor being the US, experienced terrorism on its own soil, then had the audacity to wage war with Afghanistan in retaliation. Why didn't they just shrug it off and call it 'collateral damage'? Instead they admitted it was an act of terrorism upon them. I too believe the term 'collateral damage' is a word of no meaning in relation to the 1999 bombing of former Yugoslavia, today's Serbia. I too call it terrorism. It was the pinnacle of terrorism. Only difference being the Americans are getting some sort of retribution with their war efforts in Afghanistan whilst my people have not had the chance to take action and get a degree of justice for the evil crimes of NATO. Its been ten years now. And the footage is as fresh in my mind as it was watching it all those years ago. I know that the NATO alliance is evil, simply a terrorist organisation. I know the Clinton administration is guilty of terrorism. I'm fully aware that justice had not yet been brought upon the people who deserve the death penalty. I live with an undying hatred for that terrorist attack upon my native homeland. Its not just 'collateral damage' its terrorism. It doesn't matter how you word it, the 1999 bombing of Yugoslavia remains an act of international terrorism.
A stern supporter of the 99' war against Yugoslavia was none other than the Albanian loving 'Serbophobe', not to mention mentally ill, Joe Biden, the current Vice President of the United States. He was a very adamant supporter of the KLA, and had in the past, said things about the Serbian people that would have got any other politician, had the topic being anything else, sacked from their job. His recent visit only the other month to Serbia, the very nation he wanted to see wiped of the face of the earth to urge the Serbian people to accept the illegal, so called independence of Kosovo by their KLA originated government. To rub salt in the wound so to speak. Suddenly Kosovo is the hot topic once again, and an act of terrorism the western world is still not ready to pay for. Say no to terrorism! Say no to political correctness and nonsensical terminology such as 'collateral damage', because despite it ability to act as an effective title to a Schwarzenegger movie, it's extremely inadequate in justifying the terrorist actions of the NATO alliance and the US.
It's this simple, terrorism is terrorism and terrorism is a callous crime against humanity. Its been a decade since the US backed terrorist attack. When will Serbia have its justice? When will the criminal Kosovo Albanian government get tried and imprisoned? When will Kosovo be returned to the Serbian border? When will the western world apologise to my people and compensate the Serbian people for their decade of hardship and pain caused as a result of the bombing? When will the western world, especially US awake to the fact they are run by mentally ill people? I will never forget nor forgive the nations responsible and I haven't even lost a loved one as result of the bombing. Do you seriously believe that the actual people of Kosovo and Serbia, that had personally lived through their unprecedented ordeal, to move on, forget and forgive, or even co-exist in the European sphere? Do you think that the Serbian people would give up their homeland, Kosovo, even after centuries of Ottoman oppression, two world wars during which hundreds of thousand Kosovo Serbs got killed and displaced? Joe Biden seems to think so! As a Serb, i dont think so! Not even over my dead body.

Socialism: What does it mean?

Say Socialism and an array of words and phrases come to mind, most quite undesirable; dictatorship, authoritarianism, totalitarianism, communism, thought crime, collectivism, one class, USSR, anti-west, no freedom, tyranny, violence, control, poverty, decadence, one size fits all. Whys that? Mostly because of the lack of education, misinformation, political propaganda, western fear mongering, media falsifications/ fabrications, inadequate coverage of the issue, ignorance, fear and guilt. What we forget or more to the matter ignore, is the fact that we live in a very imperfect society. We also fail to recognise the true socialist platform as a very viable form of government, economy and society.
People don't realise that a well run communist government, operating on the proper socialist system and ideal would provide more people employment, societies would be far more co-operative and helpful to one another. Education and health cover would be free and funded entirely by the government. Equality would be upheld and enforced, whilst any separatism and racism severely punished. Multiculturalism would be revered and respected. People wouldn't be exploited like slaves with long work hrs and over strenuous work because the workers interest would be of supreme importance not profit. Income taxation would be minimal or non-existent therefore leaving people more money in their pockets. People would live in freedom, so long as they don't allow greed and hatred to influence their actions. Industry would be worker run and managed. Communities would become interdependent mostly, as opposed to being dependent on the global market thus local well being of the economic state and the society itself would become of significant importance. There would be a flourishing free market in which agricultural and home made goods would be bought by the local government and sold locally or exported thus generating work for anyone and everyone. The life expectancy would be equal to that of the most developed western nations. Internationalism would be supported and encouraged as opposed to nationalism and protectionism. Cultural diversity and world peace aiming at worldwide prosperity and wellbeing would be achieved through multilateralism and strong economic ties. People would gain immense pride in their communities and their people. The family structure would be encouraged. Governments would be truly secular. Societal cohesion and respect would be preached and valued with the greatest importance.
The ever growing gap between the middle class and upper class would be eliminated as the middle class would constitute most of the society, whilst the upper class would be solely reserved for key political leaders and entertainers, not the industrialists and the greedy shareholders, who forever are trying to satiate their relentless hunger for wealth with the steadfast increase of worker detriment. Resources would be controlled by that middle class not the few. Some two per cent of the population would constitute upper class, whilst the remainder would be mostly middle class and without any competition between the two. Quite unlike what we get with capitalist westernism where the richer keep getting richer whilst the middle class keeps getting poorer. The western model is bound for failure because theres a n ongoing rift between the middle and upper social classes which is successfully achieving an inadequacy increasingly resembling a seemingly bygone era.
Maybe its too early in our evolutionary cycle, but just take the time to imagine the following idea; A world as one, peaceful and equal. Nationalism long gone and replaced with a single world government ensuring equal representation of all people. Greed and money are long gone and so is the need to toil away to simply survive. Necessities like housing, clothing, education, medicine, food, transportation and energy are free and available to all people equally. Respect, the family structure and free thought are upheld above all else. Religion is abolished as its a primitive tool, a system of control. The social class system is totally phased out as all people are seen as exact equals, individuals but equal in society. Knowledge is distributed amongst the population as secrets and classified information becomes non existent. Mankind works together to further its scientific knowledge as resources are channeled into research of further development in refining the world we live in to better support a huge human population. All military exercise and development gets ceased. Such a world would take huge change in both how we think as a species, and how we think as individuals. The socialist ideal achieved through a democratically elected communist government or an outright anarchistic model free of all government, are the only two steps we can really take towards achieving the ideal 'heaven on earth', and further evolve ourselves as a human race free of our primitive tendencies such as territorialism, jealousy, hate, lust for violence and religious obedience. Its just a thought, ask yourself what kind of world you'd like to live in and leave for your children, and question all of today's hindrances and backwardness's which laugh in the face of prosperity. To me the Titoist (Josip Broz Tito's) approach to a communist lead government is the vital step towards implementing the socialist ideologies of respect, equality, peace, prosperity, self management, equal resource distribution, freethinking, secularism, almost non existent social class, and free necessities for life which many people get forced to work for nowadays. In fact no matter what it takes, no price is too great to pay in achieving true freedom and a much needed equilibrium with our environment and fellow man. Its vital to our longevity as a species on this planet despite inevitable obstacles.

The Socialist Dream: No not delusion...I meant what i said 'dream'!

The negative side to westernisation: Industrialisation, capitalism, democracy, nationalism, fascism, racism, imperialism, war, lies, propaganda, religious cohesion, exploitation, corporatism, greed, fear mongering, over taxation and hyper inflation. The positive side being; freedom of choice, freedom of thought, individualism, equal opportunity, a large middleclass society, right to vote, and religious freedom. As you can see the western world is far from the ideal society the world should aspire towards. Whenever you question be it nationalism, capitalism or democracy theres a high chance you'll get branded as a communist, stalinist or marxist, or better yet an anarchist. You'll be demonised and dismissed and blamed for upholding an anti-western ideology. Your values will get attacked with the most twisted interpretations of your values will get compared to certain historical times, which have very little if any correlation to your views and ideals. For example, if you question the validity of democracy you may get accused for upholding stalinist totalitarianism! If you question or debate the morality of the exploitation of workers in the industrial sector, all for the sake of an ever increasing profit margin, to further satiate greedy investors, youl'l most probably be branded a communist or some sort of collectivist! In fact any type of dissent will be ridiculed and you'll get dismissed as nothing more than a collectivist, authoritarian, totalitarian, communist sympathiser. This thus leaves even the simple and major highlights of today's western culture in question, our freedom of thought, freedon of speech, our freedom of choice! We can but we get ostracised if we do! We can think as long as we don't act upon our thaughts, this leaves the credibility of such a freedom in serious question. You see i believe in the Socialist ideal. I don't need you to call me a communist or stalinist, because im not! I don't need you to call me a collectivist because i'm not! I dont need you to confuse my ethical reasoning with some banner waving, politically correct tree conservationist! As a freethinker, i tend to see the bright and dark side of most of the much applauded western building blocks. I see that democracy is inadequate in equally representing the entire population because its based upon majority rules. I see the undying industrial giants hunger for profit as the platform through which worker exploitation is somehow justified! I researched the meaning of socialism, and over years have through increased understanding come to realise that the actual idea of socialism isnt based upon some communist state, or a nation of mindless sheep controlled by a dictator, or a society in which thought is a crime, or even a society in which actions are restricted through strict law to stem ones greedy desires (naughty naughty). I don't need some politically correct prick to tell me that i'm a marxist or stalinist when i base my morals upon my ethics, and its through my reason that i decide to embrace the concept of true socialism. Once you put away the your decadent political correctness, the blind assumptions and mindless name-calling, only then can we relate to one another on a respectful plane, and with maturity discuss a true reform. Because a much needed change to the current society we live in, is a stepping stone that the world will need to evercome in its further evolution as a species. In the next blog ill discuss Socialism in greater detail, no not Stalin, or chavez, or north korea......the actual philosophy behind the beautiful idea of socialism, and the grand vision the socialist state truly encompasses.

Nationalism: Nationalist or Patriot! Which are you?

What is nationalism? Its an idea that a 'nation', a piece of land with borders is controlled, and populated mostly by the people who share a historical and cultural relationship with the specific piece of land. It is designed to preserve and protect that land in the interests of its inhabitants, or the larger demographic at least. Thus the major segregation of people allows nations to have their own political sphere, own law, their own identity, a sense of identity and relationship with the land and fellow countrymen. Thats all fine and dandy if only it was that easy. The rise of nations mostly brought on by industrialisation and increased intercontinental trade which allowed the segregation of the world an easy platform through which nations could easily exploit their people and environment efficiently. Thus establishing speedy competition with neighboring nations or further abroad. Thats where it all went wrong. Its obvious that as nations formed and reformed geographically, different areas of the world (which today constitute nations) contained varying natural resources, their people varied in wealth as certain nations through historical conquests and endeavors had accumulated gold and valuables over time which hightened the overall wealth of the people. Populations varied in number as they do today, some areas had dense populations whilst some didn't, which impacted hugely upon a newly created nations ability to establish, sustain and develope further. The climate varies from land to land thus impacting on a nations capability to properly maintain its population. There were nations that were just achieving independence as a people, those such nations had people who were somewhat culturally of a different age and therefore had trouble competing with a far more modernised western world. Many other factors also led to further hardships for some countries. That huge inadequacy between different areas of the globe that geographically constituted the recently formed nations, had left masses of people suddenly disadvantaged and impoverished as their governments uprooted them from what was their peasant life, struggling with the establishment, modernisation and industrialisation needed to sustain their borders and thus retain the control of those borders.
This therefore allowed certain nations who were far better off initially than most other nations to exploit their position. To exploit their own people through far more advanced industrialisation in order to build a greater infrastructure economically, militarily, politically, educationally and socially thus embedding an image of their nation. An image of superiority was ingrained into the minds of its people. This mentality had over time become the backbone of many nations. It fueled and justified demonization, prejudice, hatred, racism, religious persecution and ultimately become the precursor to the two world wars, which claimed at least 90 million lives between the two wars. Such a mentality it was, that nationalists saw themselves better than anyone else, people thought of themselves as supreme culturally and racially, that they should control other people (nations), that your people should control more land thus taking other peoples land. The idea that other people are inferior even sub human was the direct evolution of the seemingly peaceful concept of nationalism. Thus it gave way to movements like fascism, nazism, islamo-fascism, zionism and many movements all which had the same aim and that was to control, enslave, imprison, suppress, plunder and kill people who don't make up their nationalist ideal of what was considered the acceptable normality, the building block of your nation and its notion of pride. The culmination of nationalism is thus unjustified war and imperialism. The need of a nation to forcibly assert its ideology, law and power onto an independent sovereign nation. This is exactly what the US is doing today. This is exactly what the Soviet culminated as under dictatorial control. This is exactly what the EU is aiming at today. It's more or less, peacefully or not, modern day conquest. Its empire building!
That is what nationalism ultimately stands for. It's a seemingly peaceful idea of cultural preservation that is bound for failure because of its very nature. This is a proven fact, it is not disputable! If you support this failed ideology then you ought to have a really good look at your values and re-evaluate your current morals. Don't confuse the separatist, racist and hateful ideology that nationalism stands for, with PATRIOTISM. They are two very different ideologies. Im a patriot, both Serbian Yugoslav and Australian. It means that i have a huge love and respect for my nations and their achievements. I support my nation's ways of life and peaceful values. I would gladly fight to protect either two of those nations. What i won't do is blindly and arrogantly support nor follow my nation if by any chance its the aggressor. I can also acknowledge if either one of my two nations are or were at fault in the past, and i would accept it and do my part, be it through protest or voting, to mend its mistakes. So if you are like me, then be very proud of yourself because despite the primitive idea of a 'nation', it's that land itself despite its leadership that you share a bond with. So if you vote for nationalism, or uphold its values, which is only a form of underdeveloped fascism, have a real good think about what it implies. Have a really good look at yourselves and ask yourself, maybe, just maybe you are further adding insult and pain to this planet and to your fellow man by supporting a movement which has claimed more lives over the last 100 years alone, than all the other wars in history of mankind combined had managed to achieve in our collective history. Be a Patriot not a fascist, brainwashed and hateful nationalist! The world has enough of those idiots! :D

Morals: A matter of relativity

Morals; I have morals, you have morals, they have morals. In fact every living human being lives their life based upon their own moral code. Or do they? Its ethical in the wellbeing of a society that one follows a set of whats widely considered and accpted as 'good morals'. Its depending on our interpretation based upon our individual experiences in life, where we live, how we live, our background, our faith or lack thereof, the way we were brought up, our perception of normality, our maturity, our age and many other factors which leads to different ways of thinking between people. Thus morality is not universally abseloute and most morals are relativistic in life. Morals are more or less laws and expectations in what we consider normality, and thats all fine and dandy as long as it doesnt impact on others. Despite individualistic differences in morality we tend to follow the 'norm' and live by the widely accepted morals of our society, be it a small village or entire nation. We follow our ethical responsibility in adhering to that moral code, despite our personal moral differentiations. In doing so we abide by the wider societies idea of good morality. We get made to believe that despite our thaughts, feelings and our personal moral code, we are inferior and insignificant to the convential and widely accepted moral code, the law. But despite the few universally accepted morals such as the immorality of murder, assault, theft, rape, pedophilia, incest and recklessness the limitations of universally 'good morals', in my opinion, reaches its zenith. All the other facets of life thereon are confined to the individual, be it how we relate to people or dress. The fact of the matter is that we still get made or expected to conform, to mould to the 'societies' moral code even despite outdated morals which have no relation to how we feel, what we think, value, uphold and consider 'moral'. If we dont conform we are frowned upon. Fingers get pointed at us, we become the butt of the joke. This folks is the outdated and overextended influence of universally accepted 'moral code', and a backward mentality of a bygone era. Thus this leads to cruelty, persecution, dissent and ridecule of a group of people whether its based upon race, sexuality, religion, social class, individualism, lifestyle, political affiliation and opinion etc.
There is nothing 'moral', kind or altruistic about a mindlessly accepted and forcibly enforced/ expected 'moral code'. We as freethinking people understand that full well. Im all for law but law in itself is limited. A point comes when freedom becomes vital and the individualist approach is both wanted and needed. Thats why i encourage everyone to live their lives based upon their own moral code. Because your moral code is moulded to your life, to your identity. Your identity should never mould to anothers moral, unless its something you value yourself based upon your ethics. Universal morality or religious morality more to the point, by its very nature supports repression, conformity, exclusion, its a control mechanism to enforce conformity. Its a curruption of unity and a means to turn people against each other, or to look down upon people because of petty differences! Morality is a matter of relitivity! We are the decider of whats moral and whats not based upon our own individual lives.Dont ever forget that!

Evolution = proven fact, creationism = biased religious fodder!

I remember having an argument as an eight year old, about evolution with my farther. I remember how he used to insist on the biblical account, the noahs arc story and such. It wasnt convincing to me then as an eight year old, and its definitly not convincing to me now as a twenty two year old. The theory of Evolution with reams of evidence backing it, remained ingrained in my mind. What disturbs me though is the fact that there are still to this day religious people debating it and downright denying it. Better yet they teach 'creationism' at many secondary schools as part of the education in the US. I see that as complete and utter obliviousness to a proven theory. Its a magnificantly stupid idea based upon the biblical account. Creationism states that everything has a creator 'god' and that mankind had only been around for five thousand years!! I just think that its a crime against the young impressionable minds, that get brainwashed into ludicrous faith based ideas such as creationism. It is both primitive and ignorant, not to mention based upon a religious doctrine. A piece of literature which is biased by the very nature of it being what it is! Biblical history if you could call it that, is good if sold as a fiction novel, poorly written at that but a ficticious biased book nevertheless. Nothing else, nothing more! Call me ignorant but i refuse to even debate something as meaningless and unproven as creationism, evolution on the other hand remains just as convincing as it did when i was a young child! Isnt that a surprise!

Religion: No thanks

Religion is a backward facet of todays civilisation, a cloak over our very ability to think for ourselves and reason. It has no time in my life whatsoever. This is something im very proud of and a fact of life my family is yet to grow accustomed to. I dont care how unpopular it may be, to be an atheist, and i sure as hell dont care if it upsets anyone because i choose to be a freethinker. If it insults you, then you allow it to be so. Im not the master of your emotions nor the one imposing my beliefs unto you. My family is christian, and i respect that. My best friends are of the catholic veriety, and i respect that. Some of my asian friends are buddhist and i respect them all the same. In fact religion had never come between how i respect and relate to people despite me being an atheist. I chose to have no faith, because i cant bring myself in having 'faith' which is a 'blind belief for the sake of believing'. The religion debate, granted one gives religion the respect which it doesnt deserve, a chance for debate is pointless to have. This is because our current civilisation is based upon scientific endevours and achievements. Man has got himself to where he is today, not because of some imaginary god but by constant self improvement. Technology is a man made 'creation' of science, our understanding and the further expansion of our understanding of reality and the laws which reality is based upon. Civilisation is defined by its very knowledge as a society and its level of technology. In other words the world as we know it is, and our collective knowledge is solely based upon lifelong achievements of non-religious freethinkers. Science has yet alot to learn, as we are a slowly emerging civilisation of a semi-intelligent species. But at least scientists and freethinkers can live with the fact that yes there are things we dont know, and we also hope that eventually through scientific progress and technological advancement we'll learn many unknown things of today. Religious folk are too scared to recognise that we just dont have the answers to alot of questions, and its the fear of that, coupled with the fear of death that makes their 'blind belief' so attractive and convenient. If thats you then all the power to you, its your choice, just make sure you never shove your religious nonsensical 'blind beliefs', your faith upon children or anyone else to the matter of fact.

Dont blindly and arrogantly judge atheist and agnostic freethinkers, we are the people that got society to the most advanced state its ever been. Its because of the freethinker, the scientist that you have access to medecine and medical procedure when you get sick, when you use machanical transport your riding on the back of a scientific 'creation', everything in your life is thanks to non-religious achievements. Take pride in your species, accept you dont know everything, accept that as a living creature our time will eventually come around and theres nothing else to it, accept the reality and have respect for the people that forever better the world you live in. And dont ridecule or hate me because i lack blind belief in imaginary and unproven beings, the 'faith' you have. I dont ridecule you and i expect the same. Its because of my respect for all people ill leave the topic of religion to this post, as theres no point in arguing whether religion is viable or not. Ive been there, i know how blind one could be, but then i learnt to overcome fear emotion in general and learnt to appreciate my sense of reason. I removed the cloak of blind belief, the 'faith' which had overshadowed my ability of reason and free-thaught some 5 years ago.It wasnt easy, it was emotional, i got alot of dissapproval by the family but i winally woke from my deep sleep. Maybe you will some day, i truly hope so, for your sake!

Pride; Its Self Respect

Im very proud of who i am, both ethnically and personally, as in the man i am. In fact 'very proud' would be an understatement! Im not full of myself, im not ego centric, i havent got even got what id consider a huge sence of self esteem but i have alot of pride.I take pride in how i behave, how i think, how i act, both my past and my present. You see despite the level of humility one could have and how modest you can be, its vital to take pride in who you are, what you do and what your about! To me its a refreshing and everlasting fountain of confidence but more than anything my pride is self respect.Think about it, it makes alot of sense! If your a somewhat descent person who leads a moral life based upon respectable philosophies, take alot of pride in yourself.Respect yourself.

Personal philosophy: A true freethinker

We all have our own, somewhat unique and personal philosophy on life and its many facets. Its vital, i believe to our identity and overall individuality. It provides us a platform of values, and idiolgies which serve as a guidline to how we live our lives. In short the way we think shapes us into who we are. The better our perception, the greater our reason, the deeper our thaught, the more solid our understanding, in turn the more respectable our philosophy, the closer our actions are to our 'respectable' personal philosophies, the better the person youll be and the true freethinker youll become. Well thats my philosophy on the matter at least! We may sway whichever way we deem acceptable in our reasoning of various philosophies and idiologies. We may move backwards and forth between contradicting philosophies, change and mould existing philosophies into our own version of whats right and acceptable or of more significance to us. Not all of us do this though eventhough we are on a constant road of change as we progress through life. Some philosophies in particular may stay with us, and even get further reinforced with greater understanding, reason and time. Just the same as some philosophies will get completly replaced with very different values and outlooks. We may take from various sources, as i do to add depth and further understanding of what we think. Some of my favourite thinkers are Karl Marx, Friedrich Nietzsche, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Sartre and Albert Einstein and Ayn Rand, Richard Dawkins etc.Eventhough some aspects of their fundamental philosophies collide, as they do. One has to be open-minded and abstract from different sources, the idiologies which through reason, substantiate and/or harmonise upon ones existing personal values and idiologies, to incorporate and in turn further expand or even change the sphere of our personal philosophy and the overall person we are.One who blindly follows any one type of idiology alone narrow-mindedly, free of reasonable morality in the face of contradiction by opposing values and philosophies, is both a fool and incapable of truly developing, a truly independent and unique but respectable philosophy for themselves. Thus such a person through their narrow-mindedness is deemed ignorant, arrogant and the very opposite of a true freethinker. A real freethinker.

Thought provoking quote

Agent Smith; The Matrix

'I'd like to share a revelation that ive had, during my time here. It came to me when i tried to classify your species. I realised that your not actually mammals. Every mammal on this planet instinctively developes a natural equilibrium with the surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You move to an area, and you multiply, and multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet, a plague, and we are the cure'

The above quote taken from The Matrix movie is very thaught provoking.I think worthy enough of further recognition and thaught. Its in itself a close examination of the human population in the world today. It highlights the necessity of the objectivist approach to modern industrialisation, over-population, ongoing further depletion of non-renewable energies, ongoing pollution, urbanisation and many other fields of todays civilisation. This is because whether we like it or not immense change, revolutionary change is essential to our well being and future functionality of todays civilisation.

Alternative Media:Antiwar.com

Independent user funded websites, blogs and vlogs are a huge breath of fresh air in a choking, polluted atmosphere of corporate media. Websites like Antiwar.com, a user funded news/blog website comes to mind. Its an American libertarian website, which updates itself daily with news and articles about current events all over the world. It questions US war intervention, and war in general anywhere around the globe.I can quite easilly say that Antiwar.com is one of the best, if not the best website of its type in the world! I say that with complete honesty and confidence. I say that because for two years ive been visiting the site, reading hundreds if not thousands of its news articles/links and blogs.I recommend Antiwar.com to everyone, whos interested in non corporate based media. In other words if your in the market for some unbiased news and thought provoking blogs then Antiwar.com is the website for you! Columnists such as Justin Raimondo, Nebojsa Malic, Ivan Eland and Edouard Husson offer amazing articles which are both very thought provoking, truthfull and user friendly. Its an extensive news resource which is as much informative as its addictive. So what are you waiting for?!Visit Antiwar.com! It may not only become your favourite website but may also change your whole perception of the biased and fabricated so called 'news' that we get force-fed on a daily basis by the many corporate medias of today.
